Mary Jo Prater

SOUTHGATE, Mich. - Mary Jo Prater, 82, formerly of Stoddard County, Mo., died June 27, 2005, in Ann Arbor.

Born Sept. 18, 1922, daughter of the late Noah Richard and Manerva Riddle Garner, she was a former employee of R.L. Polk Advertising Company.

On July 18, 1941, in Clay County, Ark., she married Fayette Parsons "Poss" Prater, who preceded her in death on March 18, 1981.

Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at the Essex Cemetery, with Harold Christian officiating.
