SHARPE, Ky. - Virginia K. Garland, 81, formerly of Anniston, Mo., died at 10:
30 p.m. Feb. 8, 2005, at Oakview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Calvert City.
Born March 23, 1923, in Anniston, daughter of the late Harley E. and Marrean Brokaw Choate, she retired as a restaurant cook in Grand Rapids, Mich., and was a member of the Symsonia United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, four sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three daughters, Judith Ann Storey of Hardin, Melva Sue Chambliss of Benton and Jewell M. Jones of Wyatt, Mo.; four sons, David Garland of Ohatchee, Ala., James E. Garland of Hardin, Andy Garland of Paducah and Alan McGraw of St. Charles, Mo.; two brothers, G.W. Choate and Harley E. Choate Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and 14 grandchildren, 18 great-
grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home in Paducah where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Jim Glover will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Mo.
