SIKESTON - Olive R. Epperly, 91, died Feb. 8, 2008, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born Dec. 9, 1916, in Sikeston, to the late Edgar F. and Jennie Schneider Jones, she was a member of the Smith Street Church of God in Sikeston and had been a cook for the Sikeston Regional Center before retiring.
Survivors include: one son, Gary Weed of Benton; one brother, Ullis Jones of Santa Claus, Ind.; one sister, Margaret Esgrove of Evansville, Ind.; and seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Jones; four brothers, Dallas Simpson, Wallace Jones, Levi Jones and Marion Robert Simpson; one sister, Glenda Holyman; two half-sisters, Cleon Jones and Lorain Jones; and one grandson and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Liz Banks, pastor of Trinity Chapel, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Gary Weed Jr., Robert Weed, John Hornberger, Chris Rainwater, Mike McDonald and Thomas McDonald.
