BENTON â€" Joey Mack enjoyed a successful month of May, as he racked up two victories and three top 10 finishes in the four events that he competed in last month. The two victories came last weekend at the Malden Speedway on Friday, May 27 and the Poplar Bluff Speedway on Saturday, May 28.
The pair of victories was worth $2,100 to the Mack Racing, Inc. team. Mack also drove to a sixth place finish on May 20 at Malden.
His only non-top 10 effort of the month came the following evening in the Stacker2 MARS Series event at the Milan Speedway in Tennessee. Mack was involved in an incident that severely damaged his #97m car and he was relegated to a disappointing 14th place finish.
"It was a good month for us, especially this past weekend at Malden and Poplar Bluff," said the Benton resident. "We tore up the car pretty good at Milan and we didn't get it fixed until late last week. We had to miss the Show-
Me 100, but we were able to sweep the weekend at Malden and Poplar Bluff.
The car is fixed right and it ran better than ever last weekend. I am excited about the upcoming month and ready to get back running with the MARS Series."
