CHARLESTON - Helen P. Bone, 92, died at 3:50 p.m. Feb. 24, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born April 26, 1914, in Charleston, to the late J.W. and Ida Forsythe Brown, she lived her entire life in Charleston, where she was a member of the United Methodist Church and had worked for over 30 years at the Ben Franklin Dime Store.
Survivors include: two sons, David Bone of McKenzie, Tenn. and Ronny Bone of South Haven, Miss.; one daughter, Jo Ann Lyons of Vernon, Texas; two brothers, Bill Brown of Charleston and Howard Brown of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Mildred Nicholson Brokaw of Granite City, Ill; and 21 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Three sons, Shirley R. Bone, Jackie Leon Bone and Jerry Bone; and two daughters, Margaret Ellen Bone Denbow and Glenda Bone Pierce, preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Roger Jespersen, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Charleston, and the Rev. Jim Denbow of Russellville, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Jon Bone, Brian Bone, Mark Denbow, Steve Denbow, Jeff Lyons and Jason Bone.
