WAPPAPELLO -- Gale Taylor, 66, died Dec. 14, 2007, at his home.
Born Nov. 29, 1941, in Piedmont, to the late Warren and Violet Cook Taylor, he had lived for 20 years in Fenton where he worked at the Chrysler Motors plant. He moved to Wappapello 17 years ago and was a member of the Faith Apostolic Church.
On May 12, 1962, in St. Louis, he married Betty Tanner who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Gale Taylor Jr. of Hematite, Terry Taylor of Bonne Terre and Michael Taylor of Wappapello; one daughter, Amy Holmes of Wappapello; one brother, Jerry Taylor of Benton; two sisters, Jennie Helfer and Martha Broten of Enola, Ark.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren Taylor Jr. and Dale Lambeth.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico. The Rev. Dale Holman of Sturdivant officiated.
Burial followed in the Little Brushy Cemetery in Wappapello.
