Mack wins for the second straight time at Poplar Bluff Speedway

Wednesday, April 6, 2005

POPLAR BLUFF - Joey Mack made it two-for-two at the Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, MO, as he captured his second straight victory in dominating fashion last Saturday night.

The young Benton, Missouri driver lapped up to the third place car en route to the $1,200 payday.

Needless to say, Joey was excited about the past weekend and his recent success at Poplar Bluff. Joey also reached victory lane at the Missouri speedplant back on March 19.

"Our car was just awesome last Saturday night," stated the driver of the High's Gift Shop / Jay Cookson Farms / Boomland #97m GRT / Kuntz machine. "In fact, that was the best car I have ever driven.

Now I hope that our recent success can carry over to the MARS Series. We have three races this weekend to kick off their season and it would be nice to get off to a solid start point-wise."

The Dirt Motorsports Mid-America Racing Series (MARS) will kick off their 2005 campaign in fine fashion this coming weekend, as they will sanction a trio of events. The opener will be held on Friday night at the Memphis Motorsports Park in Memphis, Tenn.

The West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Mo. will host the second event of the weekend this Saturday evening. The ultra-busy weekend will conclude on Sunda

y at the Monett Speedway in Monett, Mo.

All three of the events are slated to pay $3,000 to the winner. For more information on the MARS Series, point your web browser to www.midamericaracingseries.com.
