CHARLESTON -- Sybil Bernice Hodge Weakley, 85, died at 11:25 p.m. April 4, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born June 7, 1919, in Black Oak, Ark., daughter of the late Almath Witt and Bertha Simpkins Hodge, she had lived in Charleston most of her life where she was a member of the First Baptist Church and worked as a clerk at the Buckner Ragsdale Store until her retirement in 1964.

On Jan. 6, 1934, she married James A. Weakley who preceded her in death on March 23, 1980.

Survivors include: one son, Kenneth Weakley of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Ruth Ellen Martin of Bedford, Texas, and Janette Riley of Blodgett; and eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several great-great-

grandchildren.

Two brothers, Ray Hodge and Roy Hodge, preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Keith Huffman, interim pastor of First Baptist Church in Charleston, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
