SIKESTON -- Ken Shankle of Charleston captured the top finish in the Super Pro division at the Sikeston Drag Strip on Saturday.

Shankle ran an elapsed time of 6.866 seconds, averaging 96.81 mph, with a dial-in of 6.85. He had a reaction time of .507 seconds.

Runner-up in the Super Pro class was Ken Parris of Dexter with a time of 5.107 and a dial-in of 5.11. Parris averaged 135.09 mph with a .544 reaction time.

Darrell Jones of East Prairie edged Steve Pearson of St. Charles for the checkered flag in the Pro class.

Jones completed the run in 7.013 seconds with a dial-in of 6.97. He averaged 96.17 mph with a reaction time of .521.

Pearson ran the course in 6.955 seconds with a dial-in of 6.95 at an average speed of 99.14 mph. His reaction time was .478.

In the ET class, Stanley Byrd of Bertrand claimed the win in 7.689 seconds with a dial-in of 7.68. He averaged 86.04 mph with a reaction time of .578.

Jason Philips of Granite City was second in the ET class with a 9.311-second run with a dial-in of 9.29. He averaged 77.86 mph with a reaction time of .582.
