NEW MADRID - Norma Jean Minner Pride, 67, died Aug. 10, 2005, at her home.
Born May 23,1938, in New Madrid, to the late Albert and Norma Burns Minner, she was a member of BB Memorial CME Church in New Madrid.
On Sept. 2, 1993, in New Madrid, she married Sylvester Pride, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Edwin Minner of New Madrid; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Rachel Dotson of Dallas, Lisa and Richard Grant, Darlene and Rickie Taylor and Sabrina Minner of New Madrid; four brothers, Milton Minner of New Madrid, Pete Minner and Marvin Minner of Chicago, and Luther Minner of St. Paul, Minn.; four sisters, Dorothy Bowen of Renton, Wash., and Lucille Johnson, Barbara Blake and Enarvel Kellum of Chicago; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Two grandchildren, one sister and three brothers preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time for services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Richards Funeral Home. The Rev. Carl Joyner, assisted by the Rev. Lawrence Williams, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Rickie Taylor, Richard Grant, Tyrone Johnson, Dennis Minner, Donald Minner, Darryl Minner, Marvin Jones and Nathaniel Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Timothy Jackson, Stephen Minner, Mark Minner, Mark Jones, Kemel Kellum, James Kellum, Vincent Minner and Michael Adler.
