In-person checking stations have been eliminated

SIKESTON -- In-person checking of deer and turkey is the thing of the past in Missouri. Telechecking has made it more convenient for hunters to report their harvest in Missouri. All deer and turkey must be checked via Telecheck by 10:00 p.m. on the day taken. Telecheck uses voice-recognition technology, so the caller merely says the information (as opposed to punching in numbers). However, we're asking callers to use a touch-tone phone because the system has a provision for punching in some info if the system doesn't recognize what the caller is saying.
