SIKESTON -- Eugene Green, 77, died at 6:35 p.m. July 19, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Feb. 15, 1938, in Caruthersville, son of the late Daniel Sidney "Sid" and Rosie Lee Naile Green, he had worked as a custodian for 25 years at Sikeston Public Schools. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II and the Korean War.
On July 22, 1954, in Lilbourn, he married Katherine Graham who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Jimmy Ray Green of Springfield and Scott Green and Ricky Green of Sikeston; five daughters, Margaret Jones, Barbara Warren, Alice Jones, Emily Hargrove and Denise Green of Sikeston; two brothers, James Green of Grand Haven, Mich., and Thelmer "Pete" Green of Lilbourn; one sister, Dorothy Smith of Portageville; and 25 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Green, in 1999; one son, Carl Green; and one granddaughter, Sarah Jones.
Visitation was from 9:30 a.m. today until time for services at 11 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Goss, pastor of Morehouse Assembly of God Church, officiating.
Burial followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
Pallbearers were: Stanley Channell, Jim Hargrove, Dale Dodson, Michael Pemberton, Kenny Graham, Eric Graham and Mike Staggs.
