Reducing mosquitoes

Sikeston Public Works employee Charlie Parks throws Altosid XR Extended Residual Briquets into the Sikeston Sports Complex Pond. The department has started the annual mosquito abatement program by using the briquets and granules in storm basins, larvicide in the ditches and will start the ULV in the next weeks. The public is urged to help reduce mosquitoes by maintaining their property.
