LILBOURN - Buddy Clinton Loyd, 74, died April 14, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Jan. 30, 1931, in Lilbourn, son of the late Cecil and Jewell Loyd, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lilbourn and the Olive Branch Day Lodge in Lindell. He was U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was the fourth floor head copy cutter for the Post Dispatch before retiring in 1985.
On Feb. 17, 1952, in Piggott, Ark., he married Myra J. Barker, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Scotty Dale Loyd of Hillsboro and Kevin Clinton Loyd of St. Charles; and seven grandchildren and two great-
One son, Shawn Eric Loyd, preceded him in death in 1997.
Visitation is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn where Masonic rites will be at 6:30 p.m.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Lilbourn with the Rev. Bill Reid, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery in Lilbourn with full military honors.
