SIKESTON - Javon Buxton, 26, died April 14, 2005, as the result of a vehicle falling from a jack.
He was born May 3, 1978, in Chaffee, son of Ella Buxton and Michael Baker of Sikeston.
In addition to his parents, survivors include: one daughter, Alandrae Applewhite of Cape Girardeau; one son, Javon Betts of the state of Indiana; three sisters, Monique Franklin and Sheanell Hodges of Sikeston and Amy Bonnee of Tulsa, Okla.; five brothers, Michael Buxton and Mandell Brandy of Sikeston, Stephan Lesure of Milwaukee, Wis., Jonathan White of Tulsa and Reganald Pearson of Commerce; his paternal grandmother, Shirley McCellan of Sikeston; his stepmother, Beverly Baker of Sikeston; and a special friend, Cynthia Burrel of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Anna Mae Buxton, and his paternal grandfather, Franklin Howard.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Monday until time for services at 11 a.m. at the Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston with Ronald Williams Sr., pastor of the New Deliverance Missionary Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
