KANSAS CITY -- Bridgit Anne Lynch and Dez E. Ziegenhorn were united in marriage during a 7 p.m. ceremony July 9, 2005, at Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church in Kansas City. The Rev. John Bolderson performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of John and Mary Lynch of Kansas City. Parents of the bridegroom are Dennis and Karen Ziegenhorn of Sikeston, and his grandparents are Mildred Ziegenhorn of Sikeston and Elmer Underwood of Bloomfield and the late Eldon Ziegenhorn and Anna Lois Underwood.
Vocalist for the occassion was Misty Fischer, and musician was Kathy Alexander.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white strapless gown of matte satin with a drop waistline accented with beads and crystals. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses.
Katie Fox of Kansas City served her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ann-Marie King, Maggie Ammerman and Julie Block of Kansas City, Corie Howard of Lee's Summitt and Kelli Smith of Raytown. They wore black strapless dresses of matte satin and carried hand-tied bouquets of pink roses.
Flower girl was Ellie Ammerman, niece of the bride, and ringbearer was Gabe Ammerman, nephew of the bride.
Serving his brother as best man was Bart Ziegenhorn of Oxford, Miss. Groomsmen were Ben Alcorn of Sikeston and Henley Montgomery, Mark Brandom, Scott Newport and Duke McClarty of St. Louis.
Ushers were Brian Sutton and Pete Mohn of Kansas City, friends of the bridegroom, and Colin Lynch of Kansas City, brother of the bride.
All of the men wore black Kenneth Cole tuxedos.
Readers for the occassion were Tracy Ashley, cousin of the bridegroom, and Terry Madden, cousin of the bride.
A dinner and dance was held following the ceremony at Woodside Tennis Club.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the bridegroom's parents, was held July 8 at the Brio Country Club Plaza in Kansas City.
The new Mrs. Ziegenhorn is a 2001 graduate of Missouri State University with a degree in early childhood education and a 2002 graduate of the University of Missouri, where she earned a master's degree in curricular instruction. She is a first grade teacher in the Lee's Summit school district.
Ziegenhorn graduated in 2001 from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in chemistry. In 2005, he graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry. He is currently practicing dentistry in Kansas City.
Following a honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple are making their home in Kansas City.
