SIKESTON -- Albert Lee "Big Tim" Thornton, 59, died March 26, 2005, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Feb. 12, 1946, in Pop City, son of the late Jonas and Idell Lewis Thornton, he was of the Baptist belief.
On June 13, 1988, he married Shirley Lee Bryant, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Albert Thornton of Columbia and Jonas Patton of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Crishonda Cassell of Sikeston, Alicia Thornton of Columbia and Victoria Naylor of Parma; one brother, Eddie Charles Thornton of Poplar Bluff; four sisters, Dolly Patton of Portageville, Marie Smith of Poplar Bluff, Louise Davis of Tiptonville, Tenn., and Aretha Miller of Parma; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until time for services at 1 p.m. at the West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Byron Jordan will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
