Sikeston Standard Democrat: Obituaries: Mary Newell (03/30/05)

GRAYRIDGE -- Mary Newell, 76, died March 29, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Born Aug. 11, 1928, in Mississippi, daughter of the late Frank Arnold and Lena Elizabeth Hicks Graue, she was affiliated with the Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter and was a housewife.

On Nov. 12, 1945, at Jonesboro, Ark., she married Bonard Newell who preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 2005.

One sister also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three sons, David Newell of Dexter and Terry Newell and Randy Newell of Grayridge; six daughters, Jennie Pulliam of Grayridge, Norma Hargrove of Dexter, Donna Pemberton of Morehouse, Glenda Kearbey, Teresa Freeland and Sandra Sugg of Sikeston; and 26 grandchildren and 42 great-

grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Danny Collins will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
