NEW MADRID - Louis C. Boulton, 87, died Aug. 21, 2006, at Beverly Health Care in New Madrid.
Born July 29, 1919, at Obion County, Tenn., to the late William Riley and Nettie Haynes Boulton, he was a retired farmer.
On April 16, 1938, at Union, Tenn., he married Ira Evelyn Bird who preceded him in death on April 14, 1994.
Five brothers, Dave Boulton, Clarence Boulton, Hubert Boulton, Jack Boulton and William Walter Boulton; and three sisters, Josephine Owens, Lila Matry and Sarah Hastings, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one son, Robert "Bob" Boulton of New Madrid; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Frank Higgerson of East Prairie, Hazel and Bobby Smith of New Madrid and Peggy Rice and Fran Milward of Sikeston; three brothers, Alec Boulton, Jessie Boulton and A.G. Boulton; one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Harold Albritton; and 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Tom McCanless will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.
