Your view: Claire comments

Claire McCaskill was sounding a lot like John Kerry and John Edwards the other day when she used Vice President Cheney's name to defend her position against the Marriage Protection Amendment. Okay, McCaskill, we get it. One of the Vice President's daughters is gay.

What on Earth does Dick Cheney's daughter have to do with McCaskill's support for gay marriage? More than 70 percent of Missourians voted in 2004 to define marriage as a union between one man and one woman. McCaskill supported the minority position. To me, that is more of an issue than the sexual orientation of the Vice President's daughter.
