DEXTER -- Mildred Gregory, 73, died May 18, 2006, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.
Born July 14, 1932, at Lavalle, daughter of the late Carl and Maude Jaynes Minehart, in 1950 she moved to Rockford, Ill., where she was a Sunday school teacher for the Assembly of God Church. Following her husband's retirement, she moved back to Dexter in 1987 and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Dexter.
On May 17, 1949, at Pocahontas, she married Otis Gregory who preceded her in death on March 29, 2006.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Perry Dwain Gregory; two brothers, Herschel Minehart and Alva Tidwell; and five sisters, Veda Taylor, Thelma Smith, Mary Ross, Bertha Embrey and Norma Abernathy.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Nancy Gregory of Kennewick, Wash.; three brothers, Cecil Minehart of Broseley, Leslie Gale Minehart of Granite City, Ill., and Carl D. Minehart of Dardanelle, Ark.; three sisters, Melba Greer of Granite City, Ill., Margaret Shoumake of Naylor and Bethel White of Salem; and five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time for services at 2 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
