BLOOMFIELD -- Hazel Bertha Hitt, 89, died May 19, 2006, at Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Bloomfield.
Born Nov. 7, 1916, at Arbor, she spent most of her life in the Bloomfield community where she was a retired employee of Elder Manufacturing and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was married Marvin Hitt who preceded her in death.
One son, Donnie Hitt; one brother; and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons, Harold Hitt of St. Louis, Robert Hitt of Enid, Okla., and Ronald Hitt of Bloomfield; two daughters, Carol Swallows of Edmond, Okla., and Karen Jines of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, James Kidd of Jackson; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Ron Dunavin will officiate.
Burial will follow in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield.
