Tips for shift workers

* Establish a set sleep cycle

* Avoid alternating shift work if possible

* Avoid vast amounts of fast food and other junk foods

* Develop an exercise schedule

* Avoid large amount of caffeine, especially late in a shift

* Give yourself time to wind down after work

* Join social organizations that coincide with your free time

* Make time for family
