Couple will celebrate milestone

ROGERS, Ark. -- Mr. and Mrs. Everett Wiss, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., will celebrate their diamond anniversary June 29.

Wiss and the former Mary Noyes were married June 29, 1946, at Concordia Lutheran Church by the Rev. E.E. Weis. Mrs. Wiss was born and raised in Sikeston, graduating from Sikeston High School in 1942. The couple met while Wiss was attending flight school for the Army Air Corps in Sikeston. After their marriage, they lived in Illinois for a short time before returning to Sikeston, where they were active members of Concordia Lutheran Church until moving in 1969.

Following Wiss' career in the Federal Aviation Administration, which took them to several states, Mr. and Mrs. Wiss retired to Rogers. They have five children: Carol Huisman of Kansas City, Mo.; Gary Wiss of Evanston, Ill.; Kathy Cornelius of Grand Island, Neb.; Joanne Desch of Bozeman, Mont.; and Donna Wiss of Washington, D.C. They also have 11 grandchildren and four great-

grandchildren.
