PHOENIX - William J. Foley, 80, formerly of Sikeston, died June 28, 2006, in Phoenix.
Born Sept. 22, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, he was a 1943 graduate of Sikeston High School, the Missouri School of Mines and Temple University. He practiced corporate and private patent law for over 50 years and was appointed Chief Patent Counsel for the Scott Paper Corporation. A United States Navy veteran, having served during World War II, he saw action in the Pacific Theatre.
Survivors include: his wife, Joan Foley of the home; two sons, William Foley Jr. of Las Vegas and Graham Foley of Phoenix; one daughter, Patricia Foley of Chicago; one brother, Bob Foley of Los Angeles; and five grandchildren.
Private services and internment were conducted at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.
