SIKESTON -- Beatrice Shannon, 79, died July 2, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Dec. 19, 1925, in Earl, Ark., she was a resident of Missouri for many years and was a member of St. John's Missionary Baptist Church.
Her husband, Elbert Shannon, preceded her in death.
One sister, Mae Ellen Riley, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: a niece whom she raised, Betty Johns of Chicago; a foster daughter, Millie Ann (Sandy) Watson with the U.S. Navy; and four great-nieces and three great-nephews.
Visitation is from noon to 3 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Graveside services will follow in the Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
