Colleen Hornberger

SIKESTON -- Colleen Opal Hornberger, 79, died at 9:32 a.m. Nov. 28, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Dec. 9, 1927, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Albert Brewer and Ilene Shelton Clayton, she was a CNA nurse and was of Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include: two sons, John Hornberger of Sikeston and Gary Weed Jr. of Indiana; four daughters, Pam McGregor of Pinetop, Ariz., Paula Johnston of St. Louis, Robin Boan of Oran and Sally McDonald of Sikeston; one brother, Sonny Clayton of St. Louis; one sister, Peggy Prospershell of Illinois; and 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Peggy Thomas; and one sister preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
