COLUMBIA -- Ruby Janice Jones, 81, passed away Oct. 1, 2005, at her home.
Born Aug. 4, 1924, in Arkansas to Harrison Clyde and Lillie Mae Ottinger Baker, she lived in Lilbourn 51 years where she was a member of the Civic Club and New Madrid Church of Christ. In 2003, Janice moved to The Terrace Retirement Community in Columbia, where she enjoyed many friends and activities. She was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ there. She was a wonderful mother and very special Nana whose greatest joy was living close to her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
On Nov. 21, 1952, she married Harold D. Jones of Lilbourn.
Other survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Karen Jones of Columbia and Karmen and Vernon Robertson of Bucklin; her grandchildren, Dane and Kellen Robertson and Mark and Cassidy Jones; and one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne F. and Virginia R. Baker of Jonesboro, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and an infant brother.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Burial will follow in Mounds Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: David Eddy, Mark Robertson, Don Brown, Jim Mauk, Jim Dambach and Jeff Brands. - - -
