SIKESTON - James Bramlett was the lucky winner of $5,000 from the Missouri Lottery. Bramlett, who bought the winning ticket at Larry's Quick Sack, lacked only one number on the ticket to claim $9 million on the Sept. 2 drawing. He was presented with a check by Dwight Mills, sales representative with the lottery, and Larry Tetley, owner of the store.
SIKESTON - The Heartland Stock Dog Association conducted its third monthly stock dog training and competition Saturday afternoon. The day started off with Sonny Riley, arena owner, and his two stock dogs, Axe and Blue Eyes, rounding up a small herd of goats.
