ADVANCE - Helen Ramsey, 94, formerly of Advance, died Feb. 28, 2006, at the Clearview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born April 30, 1911, at Fisk, daughter of the late Harrison and Hattie Tyree Granget, she was a homemaker and a member of the Landmark Apostolic Church. An avid quilter and crocheter, she loved to travel in her later years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Austin Pyles, Robert Geiger, Trolis Casey and Earl Ramsey.
Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Hilda Bailey, Hazel Waltz and Hope Haas; one brother, Harley Joiner; one son, Harley Pyles; and seven stillbirths who were close to her heart.
Survivors include five sons and five daughters-in-law, Bob and Katherine Geiger of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Bill and Pat Geiger of Park City, Ky., Hal and Sue Geiger of Freeburg, Ill., Denny and Karen Geiger of Janesville, Wis., and Dave and Chris Casey of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Ron Williams of Dexter; and 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Friday until time for services at noon Friday at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Rick Breedon of Bloomfield will officiate.
