BENTON -- How well do you know Missouri and Scott County?
The latest addition to Scott County's Web site, www.scottcountymo.com, challenges visitors with two or three trivia questions related to the state and county, according to County Developer Joel Evans.
"It gives the reader the opportunity to identify the trivia item and e-mail that to the office of County Development," Evans said.
Answers and trivia winners will be posted weekly along with the next set of trivia questions, according to Evans.
The first week's trivia asked visitors to identify three photographs, the first of which shows a historically significant flag.
"It was the flag used in 1861 by the Missouri Confederate State Guard," Evans said. "There was also a photo of Montrose P. Wade, the sheriff of Scott County in the early 1890s."
The third picture for the first trivia quiz showed the Sikeston Methodist Church men's Bible group in front of the church in 1928.
Evans also announced the next edition of the "Best of Scott County" feature will begin in June.
"I'm still accepting suggestions for categories," he said. "We've got a few but not too many."
