SIKESTON - Doris J. Cannon, 63, died at 3 a.m. Nov. 7, 2005, at her home.
Born March 29, 1942, in Tennessee, daughter of the late Albert and Erma Flippo Hurley, she had worked as a nurses aid at Green Meadows Retirement Home in Sikeston and was of the Baptist belief.
She married David Cannon in Benton. He survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: three sons, Terry Curry of Morehouse, David Curry of Sikeston and Brian Curry of Morehouse; two stepsons, Charlie Cooper of Kentucky and Paul David Cannon of Sikeston; one stepdaughter, Melissa Coffer of Sikeston; two brothers, Larry Hurley of Jacksonville, Fla., and James Hurley of Dandridge, Tenn.; two sisters, Maerene Parks of Morehouse and Paula Curry of St. Charles; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston until time for services at 2 p.m. The Rev. DeWayne Coleman, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Canalou, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Dyer Garner Jr., Jackie Hays, Jackie Hays Jr., Gary Coffer, Richard Lancaster and Jason Williams.
