SIKESTON - Members of the Telephone Pioneers of America recently created a giant color map of the United States at Southeast Elementary School. No state names or capitols are painted on the map, which measures 50 feet by 40 feet, to allow teachers to use it for a geography lesson. The national project is designed to help school children strengthen their geography skills through games and challenges. Maps are provided at no cost to the schools.
