DEXTER - Glenda Johnson, 73, died Oct. 9, 2005, at her residence.
Born Aug. 27, 1932, in Dexter, the daughter of the late Albert Oscar and Mattie Delmar Daniel Milton, she had lived in Dexter all her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she had been a choir member for many years and had participated in the church Christmas pageant from 1984 to 2001. She had worked at Stovall's Department Store and the Percy Clippard Insurance Agency. She had also worked with her son at the Dairy House for several years.
On Feb. 24, 1951, in Dexter, she married Walter H. Johnson, who preceded her in death Sept. 20, 2002.
Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Johnson of Dexter and Danny and Nancy Johnson of Jackson; four grandchildren, Rebecca Johnson of Jackson, Ashley Johnson of St. Louis and Nicole Duncan and Miranda Johnson, both of Dexter.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. Tuesday until time for services at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Dexter. The Rev. Mike Watkins of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow Wednesday morning in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
