HOUSE SPRINGS - William "Bill" Stinnett, 73, formerly of East Prairie, died at 5 p.m. June 2, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
Born Aug. 4, 1931, in Ridgely, Tenn., son of the late E.B. and Cleone Lynch Stinnett, he retired from General Motors and lived in House Springs for the past 20 years.
Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Robin Stinnett of Elk Grove, Calif., Steve and Lynn Stinnett of California and Gary and Julie Stinnett of St. Louis; two daughters and one son-in-law, Brenda Stinnett and Shelly and Mark Rawlings of St. Louis; three brothers, Donald Stinnett and Robert Stinnett of East Prairie and David Stinnett of Springfield, Ill.; six sisters, Joyce Hinchey of Festus, Frances Sims of Ward, Ark., Onedia Boatwright of Arnold, Wanda McDermott of Charleston, Sue Adank of Tallahassee, Fla., and Janie Aters of Sikeston; and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Stinnett and one sister, Eileen Burpo.
Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday with Gordon Adank officiating.
Burial will follow in the Armer Cemetery.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
