SIKESTON - Magalene "Maggie" Sauls, 76, died at 6:40 a.m. June 8, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born April 12, 1929, in Risco, daughter of Ethel Fuwell Rose of Fulton, Miss., and the late Luther Rose, she worked for Lambert's Cafe since 1967 for a total of 38 years.
On June 1, 1948, she married Dan Sauls Jr. who preceded her in death in January 1955. She and Coy Sauls were married in February 1957 and he died in September 1965.
Survivors in addition to her mother include: three sons and one daughter-in-
law, Lee Roy Sauls of Sikeston, Roger Earl Sauls of Charleston and Richard and Linda Sauls of Cumberland, Wis.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Gary Weed of Benton and Sandra and Dennis Meador of Bell City; two brothers, Lue Rose of Sikeston and Albert Rose of Fulton; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and Steve Dalton, to whom she referred to as her adopted son. She also leaves behind many friends and coworkers.
Four brothers, one sister and one great-grandson also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Gloria Capshaw, pastor of Kingdom Living Church in Charleston will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Matthews Cemetery at Matthews.
Pallbearers will be: Tony Rodgers, Chris Rainwater, Robert Weed, Eugene Land, Randy Brown and Albert Rose.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Mike McDonnald, Roger Sauls, Eric Meador, Justin Richard Layton Sauls, Roy Lee Surface, David Curtis, Charles L. Brown, Wesley Jones, Greg Perry, Joe Stewart, Rick Hill Jr. and Jerry Johnson.
