ORAN -- Evelyn Mitchem, 92, formerly of Sikeston, died at 3 a.m. June 10, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 29, 1913, in Marston, daughter of the late Nelson and Dora Maples Pikey, she was a housewife and member of the Morley Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one son, Luther Nelson Mitchem of St. Louis; four daughters, Peggy Sundley of Rockford, Ill., Ida Gilbreath of Oran, Brenda Parker of Morley and Sharon Puffpaff of Sikeston; and 32 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
One son and three daughters preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Bill Bradley, minister of Morley Church of Christ, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley.
