SIKESTON - Bertie E. Plunk, 94, formerly of Matthews, died at 9:18 p.m. June 11, 2005, at the Miner Nursing Center.
Born Oct. 30, 1910, in Crump, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late John and Laura Circely Duren.
On July 17, 1927, in Crump, she married Virgil D. Plunk who preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 1970.
Three sons, Grady Plunk, Tommy Joe Plunk and Harry Plunk; one daughter, Betty Sue Plunk; and four brothers, four sisters and one grandson also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jack Plunk of Matthews, Kenny Plunk of Blodgett and Donald and Connie Plunk of Miner; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Gay Pratt Billman of Benton, Opal Crossno of Collinsville, Ill., Martha and Wayne Kraft of Freeburg, Ill., Jane and Douglas Detterman of Cleveland, Ohio, and Peggy and Donald Holman of Miner; and 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. John Givens, pastor of Potter's House Ministries Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery in Benton.
