Hills takes first in Super Pro

SIKESTON -- Linden Hills of Fremont ran away with the Super Pro division at the Sikeston Drag Strip on Saturday.

Hills averaged 106.15 mph in an elapsed time of 5.411 seconds with a dial-in of 5.20 and a reaction time of .552 seconds.

Ed Maconay of Wappapello finished second in 9.267 seconds with a dial-in of 6.68 at 60.22 mph and a reaction time of .538.

Chuck Gurley of Carbondale, Ill., took the Pro class with an average speed of 97.21 mph in 6.916 seconds with a dial-in of 6.89 and a reaction time of .511.

Tyler Miller of Clarkton ran at 112.75 mph with an e.t. of 6.090 (dial-in 6.05) and a reaction time of .549 for a runner-up finish.

In the ET class, Blake Jones of Bertrand was the winner at 72.45 mph with an e.t. of 9.621 (9.57 dial-in) with a r.t. of .553.

Mike Foster of Vanduser captured second with a speed of 92.61 mph in an e.t. of 7.351 (7.36 dial-in) and a r.t. of .590.

Tyler Heim of Millersville edged Taylor Bowman of Cape Girardeau in the Junior Drag division.

Heim ran at 83.19 mph with an e.t. of 7.726 (7.67 dial-in) and a r.t. of .580, while Bowman ran at 84.95 mph with an e.t. of 7.752 (7.68 dial-in) and a r.t. of .498.
