CHARLESTON -- John Henry Jamison Jr., 77, died May 28, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born June 16, 1927, in Ripley, Tenn., son of the late John and Bertha Jamison, he had lived in Missouri for over 40 years. He was employed by Hequembourg and Brewer Farms for many years.
In 1952, he married Delree Brown who preceded him in death.
One daughter, one son and one sister also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Lillie Jamison of Freeport, Ill., Terry Jamison of Atlanta and Ricky and Misty Jamison of Chicago; three daughters, Linda Jamison and Sharon Jamison of Charleston and Sherrie Jamison of Sikeston; four brothers, Cleveland Jamison and Napoleon Jamison of Freeport and Joe Jamison and Elmore Jamison of Ripley, Tenn.; two sisters, Willie Mae Whimper of Lansing, Mich., and Lillie Bea Jamison of Cassopolis, Mich.; and 18 grandchildren and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. Thursday until time for services at 2 p.m. at the Bowden Center in Charleston. The Rev. Cleveland Jamison will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
