CHAFFEE -- Hazel Shell Schlosser, 96, died April 30, 2006, at Heartland Care and Rehab in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 23, 1909, in Grassy, daughter of the late Fulton and Tula Harrold Cooper, she was a beautician and had owned and operated Shell's Beauty Shop in Chaffee before retiring. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Chaffee, Chaffee Senior Citizens and Chaffee Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3127.
On May 19, 1927, she married Virgil Shell who preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1944. On March 27, 1959, she married Adam Schlosser who preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1985.
Three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Dee Shell of Chaffee; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jackie Fowler of Chaffee, Maxine and Sidney Anderson of Kirkwood and Peggy and Paul Morey of Quincy, Ill.; one brother, Cline Cooper of Lake of the Ozarks; two sisters, Ina Williams of St. Louis and Iona McCutcheon of St. Charles; and 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled at 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Vyron Yount will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery at Marble Hill.
Pallbearers will be: Mark Shell, Jesse Shell, Jim Fowler, Todd Morey, Ron Shell and Aron Shell.
