O'FALLON - Lowell Ray Lopp, 76, died at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 24, 2007, at Troy Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born Sept. 12, 1931, in New Madrid, to the late Joseph A. and Calera Hogue Lope, he retired from General Motors in St. Louis. He was a member of UAW Local 83500 and the O'Fallon Christian Church.
He married Deanette King who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: six sons, Lowell Douglas Lopp of Omaha, Neb., Michael Lopp of Reedsburg, Wis., Joseph Allen Lopp of Arvada, Colo., Stephen Ray Lopp of Sumter, S.C., John King of Tipton and William King of Wentzville; one daughter, Laura Berendes of Wentzville; three brothers, Daniel Lopp of Acworth, Ga., Jack Lopp of Sikeston and Ted Lopp of New Albany, Ind.; three sisters, Bonnie Noles of Bloomfield, Brenda Crawford of Cincinnati and Cherry Sanders of St. Charles; and 14 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Daniel King.
Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Pitman Funeral Home, 909 Pitman Ave., in Wentzville, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Tim Ferris will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Eternal Peace Cemetery in Wentzville.
