CHAFFEE - Howard Samuel Spicer, 89, died at 12:47 a.m. Sept. 25, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 21, 1918, in Birmingham, Mich., to the late Howard William and Flossie Elizabeth Render Spicer, he was a retired self-employed carpenter. A U.S. Army veteran serving during the World War II European Theater, he was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, VFW Post No. 3127, American Legion Post No. 389 and Elks Lodge No. 1810, all in Chaffee, and the DAV Chapter 16 in Cape Girardeau.
On April 21, 1991, he married to Marie Dirnberger Martin, who preceded him in death on March 22, 2004.
One brother and two sisters also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two daughters of Chicago; one sister, Betty Edwards of Sessor, Ill.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Amick-
Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee. The Chaffee VFW will officiate.
Burial with full military rites will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
