Born April 17, 1952, at Poplar Bluff, son of the late James "Jim" Pepper and Jeanne Jones Pepper, he was a member of the Bountiful Harvest Full Gospel Church in Poplar Bluff, a former outside sales specialist with O'Reilly Auto Parts in Dexter and a veteran of the United States Navy.
On Aug. 3, 2007, at Piggott, Ark., he married Yvett Luann Keller, who survives of the home.
Besides his wife, survivors include: one son, James Edward Pepper of Fox, Ark.; one daughter, Carrie Lynne Stearns of Dexter; two stepsons, Brandon Hollowell and Ernest Martin both of Bloomfield; one brother, James LeVar Pepper of Malvern, Ark.; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time for services at 1 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Bryan Johnson will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
