CHAFFEE - Walter Lee Lynn, 77, died at 5:20 a.m. March 14, 2006, at his home.
Born Sept. 27, 1928, in Randles, son of the late William Thomas and Lillie Mae Thompson Lynn, he was a retired self-employed truck driver and a veteran of the United States Army, Air Force and Marines. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge 615 and VFW Post 3127, all in Chaffee.
On Nov. 11, 1947, he married Louvena Frazier, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Lesa Lynn Sr. of Powder Springs, Ga., Howard and Roberta Lynn and Roger and Tammy Lynn of Scott City; one brother, Robert Lynn of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, one son, Danny Lynn; one daughter, Wanda Lynn; two brothers, Forrest and Audrey Lynn; two sisters, Fern Crowden and Eva Schiwitz; and one grandson, also preceded him in death.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Marty Blakey will officiate.
Burial with full military honors will follow at the Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.
