DEXTER - Meredith L. Capps, 79, died Jan. 23, 2006, at the Westwood Hills Health Care Center in Poplar Bluff.
Born March 9, 1926, near Dexter, to the late Tom and Lucetta Black Morris, she had lived all her life in Bloomfield and Dexter and was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Dexter.
On Feb. 19, 1950, in Hornersville, she married Carl Norman, who survives.
Other survivors include: one son, Larry Capps of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Brenda Johnson of Washington; two sisters, Wilma Allen of Raytown and Ruby Lee of Hornersville; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by: three brothers, Walter Morris, Lester Morris and Gova Morris; and one sister, Ruth Winchester.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Vaughn Wright of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.
