MINER -- A fire at Keller Truck Service Inc. on Highway HH resulted in a loss of property but no injuries.
"We don't really know what happened but nobody got hurt or anything like that," said Beth King, co-owner of the business.
The fire, which reportedly started about 5 p.m., did not affect the Sandburr restaurant or the fuel pumps.
"We have an extra building off to the side apart from the oil company and apart from the truck stop," King said. "It was a separate building on the lot - it had paint and stuff in it."
King said Leon Suggs was renting the building for an body shop. "He lost some tools and stuff like that," she said.
The Miner Volunteer Fire Department received assistance from the Sikeston Department of Public Safety firefighters.
