DEXTER - Dale Pixley, 65, died July 11, 2005, at his home.
Born Aug. 19, 1939, in Dexter, son of Bernard Pixley of Dexter and the late Mary Beckham Pixley, he had worked in auto body repair most of his life. A former member of the National Guard, he was a lifelong resident of Dexter.
Survivors in addition to his father are: his stepmother, Eunice Pixley of Dexter; six sons, Arlen Pixley of New Madrid, Dale Ray Pixley II, Garett Pixley, Tony Pixley, Aaron Pixley and Adam Pixley of Dexter; 10 daughters, Mary Cooper of Turner, Mich., Dana Fulbright of Marble Hill, Tina Whitehead, Sara Chubb and Audra Pixley of Zalma, Lela Wiseman, Lana Whitley, Anna Pixley and Vicky Pixley of Advance, and Carrie McAllister of Cape Girardeau; 41 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Marilyn Kaye Scroggins of the home, and her children Billy Scroggins and Jessica Rizo of Dexter.
He was preceded in death by one son, Andy Pixley; one daughter, Paula LaRay who died at birth; and one brother, Jimmie "Bo" Pixley.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Vaughn Wright will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
