SIKESTON - Floyd Alfred Matthews Jr., 58, died Feb. 27, 2006, at his home.
Born Aug. 16, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Floyd A. and Mable Caruthers Matthews Sr., he was a member of the First Christian Church. He was a chief master sergeant in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1997, and then worked for Midway Wholesale Florist. He started his own karaoke business in 2002.
On March 20, 1990, he married Mary Beth Matthews, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Deena Gamble of Hernando, Miss., and Jennifer Crosthwait of Walls, Miss.; two stepsons, Rodney Price and Ashley Price of Fort Campbell, Ky.; one brother, Charles Matthews of Saginaw, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Burial with full military honors will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
