DIEHLSTADT - Francis Dale Gage, 67, died June 27, 2006, at his home.
Born April 27, 1939, in the Lusk Chapel Community of Scott County, to the late William Raymond and Lillian Decker Gage, he had lived most of his life in the Lusk Chapel Community where he farmed before moving to Diehlstadt 16 years ago. He was of the Baptist belief.
On Sept. 21, 1963, he married Orvellene Britt, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey Allen and Jill Gage of the Lusk Chapel Community and Gregory Dale and Amy Gage of Benton; five brothers, William R. "Bill" Gage of Charleston, Richard Gage of Bertrand, Barney Gage of Henderson, Ky., Warren Gage of Benton and Don Gage of Charleston; two sisters, Mary Lou Bradley of Charleston and Theda Williams of Sikeston; and three grandchildren, Bryant Gage, Britt Gage and Adelaide Gage.
In addition to his parents, one sister, Maxine Adams preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday. Martin Lucas of East Prairie will officiate.
Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Larry Brazel, Leslie Collier, Billy Watson, James DeHart, Alan Pemberton and E. Lindsay Brown III.
